If you believe social media (a big if) lockdown has been the perfect opportunity to learn a new language, write a novel, get fit and bake the perfect sourdough loaf. All of this while working from home, caring for family and preserving one’s mental health.
To those of us who are perfectionists everyday involves this list of goals and subsequent list of failures. So over the last few weeks the novel remains unwritten, I have not trained for a marathon and my oven is un-used.
During the pandemic lockdown staying alive and sane will be a victory. And what is true during a time of crisis is true every other day of our lives.
We do not need to be perfect – we are all good enough.
